Eve Circle is intended for all ages and specifically designed for the working woman. Eve Circle is a gathering of women of faith who gain spiritual and emotional strength through fellowship, bible study, and community service. Recent bible study topics include “Bad Girls of the Bible.” A Bible Study topic is picked by the members, and discussions are fun and enlightening studies. Eve Circle meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30pm in a member's home.
One quilt at a time
Mary Martha Circle, the quilters group, creates beautiful quilts that are donated to benefit Lutheran World Relief and other charitable organizations. No prior quilting experience is needed to join! We also seek donated material, including gently used sheets, bed spreads, blankets, cottons, knits, corduroy, wools, flannels, or washable materials. Mary Martha Circle meets every 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 9:00am in the upper building to make quilts, which are sent around the world where there is great need. The goal is to complete around 150 quilts each year to benefit charity.
In the upper room
Ruth Circle is intended for the non-working woman. Members meet for fun, informative bible study and great fellowship. Ruth Circle is a ladies Bible Study that meets the 1st Tuesday of the month at 9:30am in the upper building. Bible Study topics come from the monthly "Together Magazine" provided by the Lutheran ministry and the monthly issues of "Gather" magazine from the Women of the ELCA. All ladies are invited to join us as we study God’s Word and grow closer together in Christian fellowship.
Various outreach programs
Abigail Circle periodically meets to plan various local outreach projects, although meetings are not scheduled at the same time each month. Abigail Circle is typically a younger-generation group, including mothers, who embrace the mission to share God’s word through fellowship, community service, and outreach. Abigail Circle meets to discuss ways to reach our own community as well as other communities and countries in the future. Fellowship, devotions, spiritual discussion, and a family focus are all important as we try to incorporate children into various service projects in order to show them the importance of community service and helping others. Past service projects include getting involved with the Children in Crisis center as well as the N.W. Florida "Crop Drop" benefiting needy families. Monthly meeting times vary.
Tailored for the woman who wants an evening out with Christian friends.
Called “Lil Debbies,” this group combines prayer and informal bible study with their primary focus on fun fellowship and heartfelt discussions with other women of faith. Deborah Circle meets the second Monday of each month at 6:00pm and is tailored for the woman who wants an evening out with Christian friends.
Backpack food program
Dorcas Circle meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 10am during the school year to pack donated food for our Backpack Program that provides monthly meals for needy children at Edwins Elementary School. Funding for this program is made available through grants, in-kind food donations on the third Sunday of each month, congregation offerings, and our annual Mission Gift Fair. Dorcas, also called Tabitha, is mentioned in the Book of Acts. She was a charitable person known for her good works and acts of love for the poor in the Mediterranean Sea town of Joppa where she lived, so it is fitting that our women’s circle that packs food for needy children is named after her.
